I tried many online animation tutorials and just could never just get how animation worked and why. I found bauervision one day searching for walk cycle tutorials. The free animation tutorials on his site were helpful and free so I decided to enroll in his animation class. I was only interested in character animation, not rigging or modeling and since he lets you decide what you want to learn I figured hopefully this is what I have been looking for to learn. So I decided to contact him and enroll in his character animation class. From the first video he sent me it was like WOW I'm starting to finally get this!! Mike just gets how to teach animation methods and principals I really have no other way to put it. So if your looking to learn animation you found the right guy. Thanks Mike.

Thanks Miguel!
Dear Mike,
I wanted to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation for the thorough 3ds Max video tutorials you created for me. Although I am still not sure Max is the most efficient modeling program for architectural work, it has proven itself as a great tool for taking models to the next level with regards to texturing, lighting, and rendering. I found that your tutorials greatly accelerated my learning curve since starting to learn max in early summer 2009. Although there were many tutorials available through various sources, I was getting frustrated with the “gaps” I would find in the content or the lack of clarity and application to my specific arch visualization needs. Allowing me to provide to you what it was I was trying to learn and how I wanted to apply it was such an advantage versus trying to apply someone else’s tutorial to my application needs. Your video tutorials and online assistance made it feel like you were almost there teaching me one on one. I have posted a few examples of some process renderings I developed showing some of the modeling and rendering results I was able to realize. They are far from perfect and my learning is far from over but I feel I am heading down the right path. Please feel free to use my name and email contact if others are looking for further comment and help. I am a firm believer in passing it on since so many, like yourself, have provided me with so much. Thanks again and I look forward to continuing my learning efforts with you on more even more challenging material!
Thanks you!

Thanks Kevin! Here is a couple shots of the work he was mentioning:
Bill, one of my earliest students, has been hard at work trying to get this project done. As you can see, he has gotten through the modeling and texturing and he is now knee deep in rigging. When his classes are over, he will have a sweet animation of these two fighting.
Mickey, my very first student, completed this example a while back, I covered with him every aspect of getting to this point: modeling, texturing, rigging and scene design, and now we are in the final class, animating. When it is all said and done, Mickey will have his character animated in this scene.
